TOWER PROTECTION AND WAVEGUIDE BONDING AND GROUNDING

• Locate air terminal 18 in. above tower and all

antennas.

• Ground antenna support using Burndy

GAR3903TC ground clamp and YA3C-2TC38 lug

for #2 solid copper with TMH289 DURIUM silicon

bronze hardware.

• Locate ground bar near top of tower, below

bends in waveguide cable, and just below cable

entrance to building or near outdoor PCS

switching equipment. The maximum straight

distance allowable between groundbars is 100 ft.

• Connect waveguide grounding kits to ground

bars using Burndy (2) hole compression long

barrel lugs — YA6C-2TC38 and TMH267 DURIUM

mounting hardware, YG14B-2TC2C2C for #2 solid

to grounded buss.

• Connections to the ring ground

shall be UL 467 listed. For direct

burial, use Burndy
